Hailing from Ambikapur, a remote area in Chhattisgarh, Rohit has become one of the most prominent figures in Indian news broadcasting. In 2019, he Became one of the youngest Managing Editor for an Indian national news channel, a milestone that marked his leadership at several top news organisations, including NDTV 24X7[1][2], ABP News, Aaj Tak, Star News, TV9 and India TV.[3]
Throughout his career, Rohit has managed newsrooms across multiple languages—Hindi, English, Marathi, and Telugu—on both traditional broadcast and digital platforms. In addition to his work in legacy media, he has been at the forefront of digital innovation, having led Editorji Hindi[4], a multilingual AI-powered video news platform that allows users to personalise their news experience.
Beyond news broadcasting, Rohit has also contributed to critically acclaimed documentry 1232 KMS[5] [6], which sheds light on labor migration during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the award-winning film Pihu. [7] Protagonist of film Pihu is his daughter. [8]
