"Sumayaw Sumunod" (stylized in all caps; lit. 'Dance follow' , Korean: 호라이즌) is a song by South Korea-based Filipino boy band Hori7on and lead single from their Single album DAYTOUR 2 (2024). It was released on August 13, 2024 through MLD Entertainment, and was composed by Kim Jun Tae, JAEJUN, Normman Caraan, Ji Seong and MARCUS, arranged by Ji Seong and JAEJUN.

Background

After the success of Single album Daytour, Hori7on made a return with a upcoming release of their digital single "Sumayaw Sumunod", a revival song from 1978 song by Filipino group The Boyfriends, generating anticipations among fans.^[1]

Composition

"Sumayaw Sumunod" is three minutes and fifteen seconds long, set in key of C, with a tempo of 63 beats per minute.^[2] The song was composed by Kim Jun Tae, JAEJUN, Norman Caraan, Ji Seong and MARCUS, arranged by Ji Seong and JAEJUN.^[3]

Promotion and release

On August 4, Hori7on teased on their social media with a caption "Gusto niyo bang makisayaw?" (Do you want dance with us?) and "Coming Soon."^[1] "Sumayaw Sumunod", along with music video and released with 4 versions the main, full Tagalog and Korean language and Instrumental version on August 13, 2024.^[4] On August 21, Hori7on was a guest and performed live on the longest-running noontime show in the Philippines Eat Bulaga!.^[5]
