Catwoman, one of DC's most popular villains, is predicted to be a top choice for a villain in Christopher Nolan's next Batman film The Dark Knight Rises as the next film is rumored to be based on the graphic novel Batman: Prey, in which Catwoman is a key character.[1][2] (July 2012),[3] with many female actresses interested in playing the role. Kate Beckinsale expressed interest in the role in 2007,[4] and in 2008 it was reported that Rachel Weisz was being considered for the part.[5] On January 19, 2011, Anne Hathaway was announced to be portraying the part of Selina Kyle in The Dark Knight Rises.[6][7]
