While they are uncommon in the region, several tornadoes have struck the area of modern-day Israel in its history.
April 2006
editA tornado accompanied by hail 4.0 centimetres (1.6 in) in diameter struck the villages of Julis, Fassouta, and Jedaideh. Power poles, trees, and crops were destroyed, with some cars flipped over. Seventy five injuries were reported (mostly minor) and the villages lost power for several hours.[1]
