- The Legend of Bloody Mary, a 2008 film by director John Stecenko includes a character, Amy, who goes missing for good after playing the game "Bloody Mary".[2]
- The Paranormal Activity 3 trailer shows the main characters together reciting the chant.

edit- In 2008, for its annual "Halloween Horror Nights" event, Universal Studios Florida developed a new variation of the legend. In their version, "Mary" was a doctor who studied fear by exposing her patients to it.[3]
Television
edit- A season two episode of Charmed ("Chick Flick"), involves a demon who makes killers from different horror movies come to life. One of these killers is Bloody Mary.[4]
- A season four episode of American Dad! ("Office Spaceman") shows a drunk Roger in a public bathroom chanting in a mirror "Bloody Mary", he is interrupted by Stan.
- In the Ghost Whisperer TV series' third season, an episode ("Don't Try This at Home") involves the Bloody Mary legend.[5]
- Supernatural, the paranormal TV series, had an episode that was titled, "Bloody Mary", during its first season, involving a ghost that attacked those who were looking into a mirror while her name was repeated, killing those who had some secret about their role in the death of another (Ranging from a girl who killed a boy in a drive-by accident to another girl whose obsessive boyfriend killed himself when she left him).

- In Beetlejuice, a film by Tim Burton, the title character is summoned to and from the living world by saying his name three times.
- Clive Barker's Candyman films have the Candyman being summoned in a similar fashion to the Bloody Mary ritual.
- In the Regular Show episode, "Jinx", a demon comes out of a mirror after Rigby repeats his name three times in a dark bathroom.
- The Robot Chicken episode, "Robot Chicken's DP Christmas Special", has a scene where Composite Santa Claus drags a child away after the child says "Ho, Ho, Ho" while looking into a mirror in a darkened room (presumed to be a bathroom).
- The South Park episode, "Hell on Earth 2006", parodies the legend, with Bloody Mary being replaced by Biggie Smalls.
- In the video game Twisted Metal Black one of the female drivers is named Bloody Mary.
