A bit about me
editTech nerd and policy wonk living in Washington, DC. Prior to DC, I spent over a decade living in Beijing, China, one of the most dynamic regions of the world. I recently graduated from The Johns Hopkins Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC, with a Master of International Public Policy degree. While at SAIS, I focused on energy and environmental policy, with a dissertation focusing on energy sector reform in China. I also focused on global health policy issues, which culminated in a lengthy research paper on Chinese health aid to Africa.
Prior to my graduate studies, I was a Senior Communications Manager at the American Chamber of Commerce in China, the largest overseas American Chamber of Commerce in the world.
Besides my professional work experience, I have worked as a volunteer on human rights and environmental issues in China, namely LGBT rights and environmental awareness campaigns.
