In response to developers desire to destroy a significant piece of History, this "Save The Tavern" page was created. Awareness needs to be raised about historicsal places that are daily being destroyed via urban crawl, and all in the name of "progress." The property has already been studied and an official request / nomination has been made to have it recognized as a significant historical location in the National Historic Registry. A Foundation ("The Save The Tavern Foundation") has been established to not only acquire the property, but to restore it to its original post-Revolutionary days, and render it a functional Tavern & Inn.
