To stop the bot, you can change User:SDPatrolBot/configuration/status.css to "stop" (without quotations). Please only use this for serious issues, as it requires a manual restart. |
Administrators can control how the bot behaves, in some cases. The configuration pages are linked to and explained below:
- Line one should be an integer. It controls the number of times that the bot warns a user for a specific page. If set to 0, will be infinite.
- Line two should be a boolean, if set to true the bot will report the user to AIV once it hits the limit set on line one.
- Line one should be an integer, the value must be higher than or equal to the first line in warningslmt. It controls the number of times that the bot replaces a tag on a single page. If set to 0, will be infinite.
- Line two should be a boolean, if set to true the bot will report the user to AIV once it hits the limit set on line one.
- Line one should be a boolean, if set to true the bot will leave a notice about the AIV report on the user's talk page when AIV once it hits the limit set on line one. Defaults to false.
- This page should be a list of Wikipedia:Namespace namespace codes, separated by pipes. It controls which namespaces the bot patrols for CSD template removals.
Once you have updated the configuration pages, you must change the text in User:SDPatrolBot/configuration/status.css to "update" (without quotations). The bot will then attempt to update it's configuration from the onwiki pages. If there is a problem, the bot will report it at the status.css, if it updates without a problem, it will replace the status.css page with an okay message. Forcing the bot to run before fixing a reported issue with the config pages is a bad idea. To stop the bot, you can change status.css to "stop" (without quotations). Please only use this for serious issues, as it requires a manual restart. If there is a problem with the status.css page, the bot will replace it with "Command Rejected" and continue to run as before. See User:SDPatrolBot/configuration/status for more information about available commands.
Allow at least one minute for the bot to look at new commands.
