AmaZizi are the Dlaminis of South Africa and form part of the nation of AbaMbo which emerged from Bakalanga named after Langa the early ancestor of Dlamini Zizi dynasty in Southern Africa . The historical data of Langa is obscure but most traditions from the Dlaminis asserts that their earliest ancestor was indeed Langa who led this nation and gave it substance and identity hence Bakalanga ,Emalangeni or Abakwalanga simply meaning people of Langa. The AmaZizi earliest background is traced from its relations with Swazi nation and AmaNgwane tribes together with Thongas ,Tsongas which is believed that all these houses and tribes now kingdoms emerge from the common ancestry of Dlamini King known as Mathathala among Thongas or Matalatala in Swaziland .

There are today various nations of Dlaminis in South Africa but the main ones include the AmaZizi ,AmaSwazi ,AmaNtlangwini , AbePhuthi ,AmaTolo ,AmaKhuze and tribes like AmaMiya ,AmaBholane , AmaTendza constitute main lineages of the Dlamini houses . There were also other lands that AbaMbo /Fingos occupied after their wars seeking to gain property from other tribes and with their diplomomatic ties to the British monarch which they signed a peace treaty on 14 May 1835 actually openned avenues for the protection and salvation of this nation from the savage and babaric attacks of colonisation . Gaining land after the brutal babaric slave trade of Mfecane wars which used blacks bougth by portuguese to capture their fellow blacks to be sold as slaves overseas. This was promoted by the process of distributing firearms and in this occurance , it led to the migration of AbaMbo /Fingos away from the land of their ancestors in EMbo and all natal regions to Zambezi .
