About me
I've spent the bulk of my professional career in the community development sector with a focus on leadership development, community development and empowerment. Prior to joining the Wikimedia Foundation, I led the Mozilla Foundation’s city-based learning project, Hive Toronto. In my role as director, I supported the development of unique education and leadership development opportunities focused on open contribution and digital literacy. I was introduced to the open movement 5 years ago and I haven't looked back since.
I hold a Hons.BA in Criminology from York University with a focus on restorative justice practice. As a graduate of the Rockwood Leadership Institute’s Transformative Facilitation and the Art of Leadership program, I actively work to bring a social justice and an equitable scope to the work.
My work
I lead the Foundations' Community Development team where we will be exploring how to develop a holistic approach to supporting emerging communities and community leaders. We'll be developing an intentional suite of programs and practices that addresses different areas of capacity building, leadership growth and skill development.
