'S Sindhu Devi' is an Indian playback singer and Carnatic musician from Kerala. Sindhu also sings Indian classical, devotional, and popular music. She has recorded more than 525 songs in various Indian languages, including Telugu,Malayalam,Tamil,Kannada,Hindi,Baduga.
Early life
editBorn in Kollam, Kerala, into a family of musicians, Sindhu started studying Carnatic music with Rajan Lal (uncle of music director Sarath) in Kollam at the age of 10 and made her debut at the Anandavalliswaram temple in Kollam. Guru Venkatachalam, Irinjalakuda Vijayakumar and Professor Omanakutty continued to train in classical music under various eminent personalities.
Playback singing
editWhile studying in the fifth class, She became an artist on All India Radio. During her school days, she was a regular singer in the singing groups "Singing Birds", "Sithara" and "Voice of Youth". He has participated in more than 2000 shows in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. She sang with famous playback singers K. G. Markose, P Jayachandran, Unnimenon, G Venugopal, MG Sreekumar, Srikanth and Pandalam Balan
When She was in 8th class, She had the opportunity to sing with S Janaki in the music of KP Udayabhanu in the movie "Velichamillatha Veedhi". For a long time she sang tracks for the songs of leading Malayalam composers at Tharangini Studio. Jerry Amaldev's Aayiram Kannumai in the movie Nokkethadhoorathu Kannum Nattu and Lathiri Poothiri are the tracks that will be sung. Yesudas suggested music director Mohan Sithara to use the track he sang in the movie Mamalakalkkappurathu as the original track in the movie.
After moving to Chennai in 1992, Sindhu made her Tamil film debut with singer Mano in the Tamil film "Thankakkili" under music director Ilayaraja. After Ilayaraja, she sang in many films for famous directors like Vidyasagar, Keeravani and Sirpi. She has sung in Tamil films like Nattamai, Jaihind, Karna, Priyam, Ilavarasi, Tamilchi, Netaji, Murugan, Thevar Magan and Thai Thangai Paasam.The song "Pin Nilavin Poo" sung with K. J. Yesudas in Johnson Music Direction Again Some Homework is one of Sindhu's most notable songs. While in Madras, I had the opportunity to sing with T. M. Soundararajan, S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Mano and Malaysia Vasudevan. Introducing music director Keeravani through singer KS Chithra gave Sindhu the opportunity to sing in several Telugu movies.
She was a part of Dr K. J. Yesudas troupe for 5 Years and have participated in a lot of Stage across the Globe

Personal life
editSindhu married SV Ramesh in 1998 and moved to Kuwait with her husband in 2002. In 2004, he started his own music institute, the Sreehari School of Music in Kuwait. He is active in Indian cultural and classical music in Kuwait.
