PARI
In Kashmiri folklore pari is an angel girl. It is very beautiful with white skin and golden hair. It is unmarried and likes unmarried young handsome Kashmiri boys. It resides along with other fellow paris in an area aloof from human habitation. Usually near crystal clear springs. It is under the earth which is called talpatal. It lures young handsome boys and takes them to her home. She does not walk rather she floats in air. They come in a group. Usually most beautiful one falls in love with a boy. In home young man is given everything to eat and money,gold ,gems and jewellery.
Many men in Kashmir have confessed about their ordeal with paris. These men are named by their original name suffixed with pari. Suppose, if a boy's name was xyz. Now after meeting pari his name is changed to xyz pari. These boys remain unmarried till date.
