Maternal Mortality is the death of women related to pregnancy and child birth problems.[1] Maternal mortality is largest cause of death of women of age of childbearing worldwide including Pakistan.[2] The rate of maternal mortality is relatively higher that other countries in the region except Afghanistan. Maternal mortality rate varies from 160 in Sindh to 673 in Khuzdar region of Balochistan.[3]
