MAMAM RIVER
editWest flowing Mamam river originates from Pothencode Hill Located in Trivandrum district, Kerala and flows 27 km and ends up at Anchuthengu(anchengo) lake. It covers 114sq. km catchment areas.
Mamam river flows all the way through a self sustained village Saigramam, the place founded by K N Ananada kumar. When river reaches the vicinity of Kunnathu Mahadeva Temple at Andoorkonam of Attingal,it divided in to two: one flows towards westward and join with Vamanapuram river, turn out to be a one of the largest tributary of Vamanapuram river and other part flows southward and the small Changanam Chek Dam built across the minor strait. Attingal is encircled with Vamanapuram River and Mamam River.
