The Nigerian Merchant Sail Navy is a Reserve Marine Force popularly known as SAIL NAVY established and incorporated under the Corporate Affairs Commission Abuja as a Security outfit which operate under the Laws of CAMA of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

JMA also carry on the business of Organizing Seminar for private business owners.
MARINE CAREERS
editThere are three (3) Types of Marine Careers.
1. ACTIVE DUTY MARINE - The Active duty Marine are the Country Navy (Military), the Active duty Marine are part of the Armed Forces of a Country and their duties are to fight against foreign aggression and to provide Security at the water ways. They are the Sea Soldiers.
2. RESERVE MARINE - The Reserve Marine Force ( Merchant Sail Navy ) are among the Marine safety outfit of a country (Nigeria), they protect lives and properties, they help in supporting the Active duty Marine and other country security outfits, the Reserve Marine ( Merchant Sail Navy ) mostly operates on Marine Policing and Professional Security duties. They are the Mariners.
3. CIVILIAN MARINE - The Civilian Marine are the Seafarers, their job mostly base on Marine Shipping Companies and vessels (commercial vessels, cargo vessels etc), they help to promote the Nation Maritime industrial growth.
