Samuel David Jenkins (born February 17, 1987) is a soccer player from New Zealand who currently plays for Hawkes Bay United in the NZFC.
International Soccer
editJenkins played on New Zealand's under-20 and New Zealand A Team. He has 6 International Caps and 7 Goals.
Sam Jenkins made his debut for the New Zealand Under 20 national team against Australia, on May 4, 2006 where New Zealand defeated Australia 1-0 at the AIS in Canberra with Jenkins scoring the only goal. New Zealand then sealed a first series victory against Australia 3 days later with a 3-1 win where Jenkins scored 2 goals. He was also a member of the New Zealand Under 20 team who won the Oceania Under 20 Championship held in Auckland in January 2007 which saw them qualify for the 2007 Fifa Under 20 World Cup to be held from June 30-July 22. He was the 3rd top scorer in the Oceania tournament with 4 goals in 4 games.
