Saman Hosseinpuor (born 1993, Kurdistan, Iran) is a Kurdish-Iranian filmmaker known for his work exploring Kurdish culture and identity[1]. He has directed and produced several short films that have been recognized at international film festivals such as the Zlín Film Festival[2], Busan International Film Festival[3], and Red Sea Film Festival[4].
Career
editHosseinpuor began his filmmaking career focusing on the Kurdish experience in Iran. He is an alumni of Berlinale Talents[5] and holds degrees in Cinema from Busan Asian Film School's AFiS Program[6].
