a bilingual poet, writes both English and Bangla. He is known to all as a son of the soil (Bhumiputra). Stylistically he rarely used pidgin English. He also used Bangla and Sanskrit words. He is a moderniser of pastoral poetry after Robert Frost. His book Myth and Earth contains austric theme history and myths- those are Greek, Indian, Chinese and Sematics. Phylosophically he upwards 'Swagya' obtains from the Tantra, Yoga, Zen and Taoism. His style and aesthetics appreciated by the critics. Return to Home, Bhumiputra, Town Does Never Make a Map, U and I, My Destination, The Art of Kissing, Austric etc. are his famous poems. His destination is in his pocket, he velives it.

Now, Samaresh Debnath is attached with soil Poetry and Mythical Poetry. He wrote a book on Contemporary World Poetry in English. He edited Modern Poems of Asia, World Love Poetry and Derek Walcott's Poetry[1]. His first book of poetry in English in Bhumiputra and Other Poems.
