Career: Gonzalez career started in 1990 as a Reporter/Anchor at KAVL Radio in Lancaster, CA. and then soon was in Santa Barbara, CA working as a radio reporter at KTMS News/Talk Radio, and eventually News Director until 1993. Then she left her native California for Texas. In 1993 Gonzalez began working for WBAP News/Talk Radio as a reporter until 2001.

In 2001, Gonzalez transitioned her journalism career into television with a freelance reporter job at KDAF-TV in Dallas, TX. In 2002, Gonzalez worked briefly at KXAS-TV, in Fort Worth, Texas also as freelance reporter, before heading back to her home state of California to report for KGET-TV in Bakersfield, CA.

In 2006, one year after Hurricane Katrina, Gonzalez decided she wanted to witness history and move to New Orleans and work for WVUE-TV. Gonzalez reported on immense stories about the city coming back after one of the country's worst natural disasters in recent history.

In 2009, Gonzalez began working for WGNO-TV in Metairie, LA. Some of her early work began covering the Saints as they made it to the first Super Bowl in the team's history. At WGNO, many of her stories have focused on crime, its impact and solutions. At WGNO, Gonzalez changed her traditional reporting career to become a digital journalist where she shoots and edits her own stories, as well as write stories and take picture for station's website.

In 2011, Gonzalez' reporting also became very focused on WGNO's 'News With A Twist' program, where she is able to share more human interest stories than ever before.
