Sanket's vision at Wikimedia India is dedicated in creating more awareness about Wikimedia-related projects by expanding the Indian Wikipedians base & to greater engagement with the community at large. In his current role, his specific focus is to help the chapter with 12A registration & get 80G status.
Outside of Wikimedia, Sanket has worked in public finance & research. He also has 3 years of experience in Taxation Laws and has served on an array of advisor, both non-profit & for-profit organizations. His ongoing interest includes Open Source Polices in Government, Access to Free Knowledge in rural India, educational inequity & educational politics.
He says that his long-run vision is to remove the word 'illiterate' from the history of Indian civilization by eradicating information poverty through digital interventions.
He was elected to the Wikimedia India Executive Committee in 2014.
