Bobby Newberry is an American dancer and professional choreographer based in Hollywood, California. Apart from his work in choreography, Newberry has launched his career as a singer-songwriter in 2011.
Choreography
editNewberry works as a jazz-funk dance instructor and choreographer for the Millennium Dance Complex, in Los Angeles.[1] He also works for JUMP Dance Convection, also as a choreographer and dance instructor touring around the world with other famous choreographers.[2]
Newberry has choreographed for artists in their musical videos like: Melisa angelina(Save Your Breath), Jolin Tsai(Butterfly), Pussycat Dolls(Whatcha Think About That and When I Grow Up), Eminem(Just Lose It), etc. He has also worked many times with The Pussycat Dolls and Girlicious on their live dance routines.[3] Other dance credits include P!nk and Missy Elliot.
He has worked with Porcelain Black, Lil' Wayne, Taylor Dane, Eva Longoria for Bebe, Jody Watley, Aaron Kwok and television shows, X Factor, Dancing with the Stars, Conan O'Brien, David Letterman and America's Got Talent. Newberry's work on Pussycat Dolls music video for "When I Grow Up", won Best Dance Video at the 2008 VMAs.[4]
Singing Debut
editOn May 24, 2012, a music video for the cover version of "Bulletproof" from Melody Thornton's album P.O.Y.B.L, premiered and featured Bobby Newberry.[5][6][7] On June 14, 2012, Newberry made his debut music video single, "Dirrty Up".[8]
