When Sawan Kanojia was studying in Class Ninth he observed the present Scenario of Environment and it’s Embittered Condition. He made up his mind and along with his friends established the ‘Environment Club’ with the Motive of Save Environment. At Present Sawan is Journalism Student and is also working for Environment. Under his able guidance the Environment Club works on different Environment related Campaigns and Awareness Programs. Since his tender age of Fourteen he celebrates his birthday by planting trees. He encouraged others too to pursue this practise. Sawan says that Youngsters should join Together to Save Environment.
Under the Leadership of Sawan Kanojia, his group Environment Club has launched many Campaigns on Plantation, Plastic Boycott, Water Conservation, Pollution Free Environment and many other.
Sawan believed that Youth should get aware of Environment and it’s related Issues and should volunteer to protect it and save the Earth. Looking at the work of Sawan, Zee News has televised a short documentary on his works of Environment Club on Zee Hindustan Channel. Hindustan Newspaper published an Article on Sawan Kanojia and his works in it’s National Edition on 14th November 2019.In Dainik Jagran Newspaper on ‘World Environment Day 2020’ an article was published on Sawan under the heading Environment Protectors. Angry Youth Organization Trust and Akhil Bhartiya Udyog Vyapar Mandal, Uttar Pradesh along with other renowned organisations recognised his efforts and have Honoured him for the same. Recently Sawan Kanojia along with his Team Environment Club launched a Campaign on Water Conservation named "Paani ki Baat" which has been covered by News 18 UP/UK Channel and Republic TV.
Sawan has been honoured by Honourable Cabinet Minister of U.P Shri Siddharth Nath Singh Ji as ‘Young Environmentalist’ in a program a Program by Zee news. ‘Ministry of Jal Shakti’ has honoured Sawan by the Award ‘Water Hero’. In a Weekly Newspaper of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Sawan has been covered on the Cover page.
