Henry Hunter
Henry Hunter (1832-92) was a colonial Australian architect, notable for his work in designing many churches and manors in Hobart, Tasmania.
Early life
editHunter was born in Nottingham to Walter Hunter, an architect, and his wife Tomasina Dick. He first studied at Sedgely Parish School, Wolverhampton, before specialising in architecture under his father's tutelageHunter and his three sisters emigrated to South Australia in 1848 with their parents before later moving to Hobart Town.
