About

From Blackburn, UK, I've become involved in the local history of the town through local volunteer projects and wanted to put some of the research I'd done on to Wikipedia to share with the community and to preserve the information for the future.

I've been specifically focussed on Blackburn Cotton Exchange Building, but the building, the events it hosted, the people involved, and it's political and industrial connections connect it with the whole town and its Victorian history.

My contributions to Wikipedia are just as a hobby around my work as a software developer. While I'm prioritising volunteer projects that will output in-depth local history, I am aiming to summarise some of my research to add to Wikipedia over time.
