2015 AMA Grand National Championship
Previous: 2014 Next: 2016

The 2015 AMA Grand National Championship was the 62nd season since the series inception as a championship, and the first season featuring the new GNC1 unified division after the 2006 split in Twins and Singles. Neverthless, riders still had to switch between twin cylinder motorcycles with purpose-built frames for Mile and Half-mile races, and production-based single cylinder bikes for Short Track and TT events. Jared Mees won his third overall title riding the Harley-Davidson XR-750 twin and the Honda CRF450R single. Former Pro divisions were reorganized as the new GNC2 feeder class; Davis Fisher won his first national title riding a Kawasaki-powered twin and the Honda CRF450R single.

Rule changes

edit
  • Former Expert Twins and Expert Singles divisions are merged in the new GNC1 class; only the overall title is awarded
  • Former Pro Singles and Pro Twins divisions are merged in the new GNC2 class
