James Megaw (b.1988) is a novelist, poet, musician and producer who currently lives in Scotland. His literary work has been translated into several languages and production credits include releases for Wiseblood Industries.

Writing

James Megaw was awarded the Pen Vlaanderen fellowship in 2010.[1] Much of his poetry has been published in UK magazines and short stories have appeared in books such as the Duality Collection. He will be publishing a collection of poetry in early 2012.

Music and Production

James Megaw was a founding member of Edinburgh folk duo 'Megaw', which went on an indefinite hiatus in 2008. Following this he gave up music for a short period before working as a producer for various lo-fi and indie artists in Scotland. The most successful of these collaborations is with Glasgow songwriter Jocky Venkataraman and their release 'Post Post Office EP' was critically successful receiving mostly positive reviews. [2]

On 1st January 2011, Jocky V and Jim Megaw released the single "Happy New Year", a satyrical ballad attacking the nature of that holiday.[3]
