Scott "Scotty-Headbanger" Fountain-Clinansmith (born April 18, 1970) is a Commercial Artist, Singer/Songwriter, Actor, Activist and Private Security Contractor. Scott's surname at the time of birth was Clinansmith — he has had it legally changed at least once in his past. Clinansmith is an ex-Police Officer and ex-military member who has worked with the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, and an Anti-Terrorist Team (circa 1988 — 1997). Although he passed initial physical fitness requirements to become a Navy SEAL early in his military career, he never volunteered for BUD/S for personal reasons. He received a Navy Achievement Medal along with his Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Navy in 1993. He also received a Special Operations Service Ribbon from the U.S. Coast Guard for voluntarily assisting in Anti-Drug Operations in the Caribbean Sea in the 1990's. In 1995, he received a Leadership Award and an Outstanding Performance Award from the Michigan Law Enforcement Officers Training Council (formerly MLEOTC now MCOLES) via the Detroit Police Department. Though he remains a contractor for a handful of private security/event companies, Clinansmith has retired from full-time government/law enforcement occupations and currently works in the advertising and media industries in the Central Texas area. He also actively volunteers with several local and national non-profit organizations.
"Scotty-Headbanger" is an MMA nickname. Other aliases include: Inali-Wakan (his Native American name), Scott La Rock (professional and online name), and Wakan (nickname when he was a police officer, also used by his "Black Ops Buddies" - as he calls them). .
