The Firefighting Brigade in Vatican City (Italian: Corpo dei Vigili del Fuoco dello Stato della Città del Vaticano) was established in 1827 and consits of 130 firefighters.[1]
Being the only fire fighting brigade in Vatican City, it is operated by the Government of Vatican City. It belongs to the Gendarme Corps which is part of the Direzione dei Servizi di sicurezza e protezione civile dello Stato della Città del Vaticano.
