This is a list of things I look for when reviewing for the featured portal process. It is by no means concrete or complete.

Requirements

1. No fair use images

3. Box headers
   1. Appropriate box titles
   2. Relevant/coordinated coloring
4. Introduction
   1. Main article must be linked.
   2. Must provide a total summary of the main topic.
6. At least two rotated content boxes
   1. Articles/Biographies/Pictures/Quotes etc...
   2. Must have an archive and nominations page.
   3. Provide pictures when available
   4. Be well summarized
   5. Be well linked, including the target article
   6. At least ten selections for each selected content box
   7. Auto rotating, either random or week/month
7. Topics
   1. Be comprehensive
   2. No red links
8. Related Wikiprojects
   1. Main project, parents and children
9. Related Portals
   1. Parents and children
10. Categories
11. Lists
    1. Own box or can be included in cat/topic box
12. Wikimedia based on {{WikipediaSister}}
13. {{Portals}}
