Film Boldly is an entertainment company founded in 2013[1] by three partners: Geoff Manton, Sebastien Galina and Shelby Manton.[2] It is based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

History

edit

Boldly was founded in 2013 by Geoff Manton, Sebastien Galina and Shelby Manton after originally launching a contest platform for music video editing.[3]

In May 2016, Boldly would add a fourth partner, Kristoff Duxbury to the team.[4]

In November 2018, Boldly released its first narrative series, Literally, starring Shane Koyczan, Tom Butler, and Gabrielle Rose.[5]

In February 2019, the company relocated to its Vancouver studio in the Mount Pleasant, Vancouver neighbourhood. That same year, the company released the acclaimed music video for Jordan Klassen's 'Virtuous Circle', directed by Farhad Ghaderi and starring Antoine Olivier Pilon[6]. The company also celebrated the broadcast release of its first feature documentary film, Random Is My Favourite Colour, which chronicled the rise to fame of mixed media artist Lyle XOX[7]. 2019 marked the first time the company collaborated with famed music video director Emil Nava on the video for Lewis Capaldi 'Bruises'[8].

In March 2020, the company announced the short film 'Rules For Werewolves' starring Finn Wolfhard would have its world premiere at SXSW[9].
