eSafely is a free parental controls browser extension. It was first developed by web filtering technology company NetSpark in 2013 for the Google Chrome browser and today is available for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Google Chrome, and offers cross-platform support.[1]
History
editeSafely was developed by internet filtering technology developer NetSpark Ltd[2] in 2013. NetSpark offers web content filtering solutions. Founded in 2008, its core product line provides ISP oriented network level filtering solutions that combine URL blocking with real-time in-page content inspection and filtering techniques.[2]
With the launch of eSafely, the company's focus expanded to include a focus on the consumer market, integrating its real-time and image filtering capabilities to deliver a parental control. This control can be used as a stand-alone parental control option or as an added layer of protection in conjunction with other filtering solutions.[3]
