Although the article was vague and lacked some important details, I think that it was fairly neutral and it presented facts.
Are there viewpoints that are overrepresented, or underrepresented?
Both viewpoints-- those in favor of ethnic studies programs and those against ethnic studies programs-- were underrepresented. The arguments for each viewpoint came across as superficial. I think the article could be improved if it cited specific arguments coming from key players (teachers, students, parents, the governor, etc). In addition, I think the article should've mentioned what oral arguments were brought to the United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit.
Check a few citations. Do the links work? Does the source support the claims in the article?
All the links referenced worked. The articles come from a range of reliable sources (huffington post, local newspaper, .org cite), and they do support the claims in the article. However, I noticed that although they had good sources, they only used one or two arguments from each source to incorporate into the article which I think is one of the reasons why the article lacks depth.
Is any information out of date? Is anything missing that could be added?
The information about the Tucson court's ruling may be out of date considering a ruling was supposed to be issued this year although the article didn't specify exactly what month or day. The section about the consequences of HB 2281 was particularly confusing. I don't think the author completely understood information regarding that subject matter because they seemed to copy almost exactly what their sources said. Also, given that the article was originally "published" in 2014, it's likely that more that has happened since then.

This article has been rated as Start-Class and was the subject of a Wiki Education Foundation-supported course assignment. The last time someone updated the article was on Sept. 4th of 2017 although it was submitted in 2014.
