University College of Engineering (UCE), erstwhile Engineering College, Kota, established in 1981, was declared constituent college of Rajasthan Technical University, Kota.

The college is spread over approximately 400 acre of land (largest in Rajasthan), having the River Chambal as one of its natural boundaries.

UCE has been approved by AICTE and is known for its scholastic and intellectual prestige for the last 27 years. The college is imparting education in front line areas of engineering and sciences. It has more than 100 faculty members actively involved in multidisciplinary programs. The college offers 8 undergraduate and 10 postgraduate courses leading to B.Tech. and M.Tech./ M.B.A. respectively. UCE offers Ph.D. programs in various disciplines on regular and part-time basis.

Infrastructure

Spread over 365 acre of land, the largest among technical institute in Rajasthan, RTU is catering almost all discipline related to technical education in Rajasthan. At present 90 MBA Colleges, 78 Engineering Colleges, 08 M.Tech Colleges, 28 MCA Colleges and 03 Hotel Management and Catering Institute are affiliated to the University.

Its spread can be judged by the fact that it has 7.5 km of road within its campus along with total built up area of 5,90,000 sq. feet.

Being the constituent college of the University, UCE provides support of Infrastructure, Administration, Human Resource, Advisory Function, Financial Management to RTU for diverse activities such as, Conducting Entrance Examinations, Curriculum Designing, Syllabus Formation, Paper Setting, Conducting Semester Exams, Declaring Results and Awarding Degree to the students.

Entrepreneurship Development Cell was established in 1988 under the CAS of the MHRD and AICTE. So far it has not been relatively easier for even a self-educated entrepreneur to start his own business and flourish. Moreover, with the advent of real competition and technological changes, decisions based on intuition have to be replaced by strategic, scientific decision making for increased effectiveness. The cell provides ample opportunity to entrepreneurs for honing their skills and allowing them to blend their intuition into scientific and technical processes. The Cell organizes entrepreneurship awareness camps, and entrepreneurship development programs for qualified engineers of both degree and diploma streams.
