Shankar Arjun Dhotre
Born on 18th March 1992 in Shirapur village of Solapur district, Maharashtra state ,India. Shankar's Directional debut was Marathi language movie “Potra”.
In his early days he was very engrossed into sketching and painting which helped him in various ways to adapt the art of filmmaking.
In his earlier days there was a lot of struggle included for livelihood but overcoming all the factors Sharkar Arjun Dhotre managed to make the way through and complete his film. He has given 8 years of his life to complete the film. He manages to write and direct his own films. He has got a vast vision and plans to portray that in his upcoming projects. He is very generous towards the society and believes in women empowerment.

Shankar Arjun Dhotre has made his debut with the film “Potra”. Potra is an art film based on menstrual cycle. It is story of a village girl “Geeta” who wants to create history but gets engulfed in the old traditional values. It has an artistic touch and symbolic reference with raw sorghum and honeybee's.
With his debut film "Potra" he has won many recognition and awards too.
