I am a writer who is currently focusing my personal interest on gaming and my professional interest on the blockchain industry.
My most notable gaming work to date is Designers & Dragons, a four-book series on the history of tabletop RPGs published in its second edition by Evil Hat Productions. (The books have been widely used as references to help fill out RPG industry entries here at Wikipedia.) I've also produced extensive product histories for the official D&D book and supplements sold by DriveThruRPG and expect to expand and compile those into my next series of Designers & Dragons book.
I've written hundreds of articles under the name Mechanics & Meeples related to the design, production, and play of tabletop games. Most recently I wrote a book on cooperative board game design with Christopher Allen called Meeples Together, published by GamePlayWright.
My blockchain technical writing goes back to cryptography work that I did for Certicom in the late '90s. More recently I've written Medium posts, news articles, tutorials, and other documents for Bitmark, Blockstream, and Blockchain Commons. I'm also the editor-in-chief for the Rebooting the Web of Trust design workshops, and have shepherded over 50 papers on decentralized and self-sovereign identity to publication.
