This is my Sandbox! I plan on editing the article on Haptic perception, so I created this as a way to organize all my information and sources and such.

Information:
editHapatic Perception is also known as active touch perception (Human Hapatic Perception). This is the most complex of all human sensory systems, and is extremely vital when it comes to carrying out everyday activities. There are many concepts to this, such as neurophysiological, pyshcological, clinical, and neuropyschological(Human Hapatic Perception). The easiest way to describe hapatic perception, would be to simply say that it is recoginizing objects through touch. It's sensory signals plus mechanical signals, that help people recognize the objects we come in contact with every day ("Principles of Hapatic Perception in Virtual Environments"). It usually requires both mechanical and sensory though, it is difficult to find one but not the other. It is easier to feel and see something and tell what the object is, rather than to just feel it. It is much more difficult with just the mechanical aspect.
