David Dupuis, is an author from Penetanguishene, Ontario, Canada. His major published works are, "SAWCHUK: The Troubles & Triumphs of the World's Greatest Goalie" published by Stoddart Publishing in 1998, and co-authored two other hockey bios with L. "Waxy" Gregoire, "Heart of the Blackhawks: The Pierre Pilote Story" published by ECW Press in 2013 and "The Red Kelly Story" published by ECW Press in 2018. The Red Kelly Story won the 2016 Ontario Speaker's Book Award. The 2019 movie "Goalie" was partly based on Dupuis' SAWCHUK book.

He has published several local history books and is also is the author of the eight-book modern historical-fiction series titled, "The Seven Keys of Hildegard" of which the first four have been published. A retired psychiatric nurse, he has won several awards for his volunteer work in his community.
