Mijntje Lückerath-Rovers is a Dutch economist and professor in Corporate Governance at TIAS School for Business and Society based in Tilburg University.[1]
Biography
editLückerath graduated with an MSc. degree in financial business economics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1994.[1][2] In 2007 she earned a doctorate from Erasmus with a thesis on operational leasing.[3]
Career
editLückerath worked at Rabobank International from 1994 to 2001 . She started as a management trainee there, but finally became vice president of Project Finance. In 2001 she started as an associate professor at Erasmus University . In 2010 she became Professor of Corporate Governance at Nyenrode Business University . In 2013 she became a professor at Tilburg University. From that moment on, her research focused in particular on the conditions that are necessary for the effective management of companies. Issues such as independence, diversity, transparency and integrity play an important role in this.
In addition to her work as a professor, she is chief editor of the Corporate Governance Yearbook. She is also a supervisory director or supervisor at a number of companies.
