Hello there
I am a translator and language instructor with many interests, among then linguistics, literature, history, ancient languages, etc. Mostly my interests in these fields pertain to Europe (specifically: Northern Europe) and East Asia but I consider myself well-rounded. I am also interested in biology and all kinds of mythology.
Languages I translate (source -> target)
Japanese, Chinese, Norwegian, Danish -> English
Japanese, Chinese, English -> Danish
My German is not quite up to par with the rest of my language skills, so I do not do technical or very advanced translations for it. However I do have confidence in speaking it to an advanced degree, and I hope to improve it more sometime soon. I rarely get requests for Danish to English or English to Danish. Since I know Danish I can also understand Norwegian and Swedish (written moreso than spoken), but cannot write them, and do not do translations for them.
I am certified to teach English and Japanese. I have also taught Chinese and tutored Danish, but lack extensive training in formally teaching either.
My time on Wikipedia is mainly spent working on correcting errors pertaining to Scandinavia on the Japanese and Chinese wikipedia (and there are quite a bit of them). I also translate articles from one wikipedia to another, when the need arises, with minor edits on English and Danish wikipedia here and there.
If you have any questions or concerns or need help with anything that falls within my line of specialty just let me know.
