I was talking to Mary, she asked why I wasn't using a grad student to do my data quintuple-checks, or have them compile the data in the first place. She made me see that my reputation would take a huge hit if it got out that I actually used Wikipedia for any sort of data verification. The hit, in fact, would be as great as if used Wikipedia for double-checking or even as a source. Of course I'll have to make sure to instruct the grad students to look at different scores than the ones I did, and to not use Wikipedia. Wikipedia is of extremely limited utility and is too much of a liability to justify its use for any purpose.
