I aim to alert others to ridiculous content already in Wikipedia articles.
Sometimes adding to an article's text is the most effective way to do that.
However, I do not directly damage the existing article text, and my additions are designed to be quite obvious so that no one will be misled.
I return to watch for and correct any undesireable indirect damage that may be done by other editors seeking to remove the extreme ridiculousity.
If you feel this is vandalism, at least see that it can be constructive when used judiciously and sparingly.
If the enhanced silliness does not result in an improved article, I remove it. So we are talking about a Constructive-Oriented Alteration Technique, or COAT for short. I rarely apply more than one COAT to any article at a time, so that it can be easily scraped away when the time comes.
