History of Minecraft

edit

Minecraft was made after a game named Infiniticraft was made.

Also, the year may not be right, so please correct them for me in the article talk. Or CORRECTION PLS

2010

edit

Minecraft started as a game named Cabe GameCORRECTION PLS. The terrain was flat and it had many caves. But, the graphics were unlikey, only shadows and lighting were made. After a few days, Minecraft was made.

2010

edit

Minecraft (or Cave Game) got a logo. The first version was dev? It still had shadows and lighting, and you had the ability to craft and mine.

Minecraft Dev

edit

In Minecraft dev, there were 4 presets. Floating, Inland, Island, and Underworld. There were also stone, and grass, and wood and leaves. But there were no "grass", only grass blocks.

2011

edit

In 2011, Minecraft BETA[3] was made. I also skipped few more versions cuz I did not know what they were named.

Minecraft became popular. They added 50+ blocks and more items. Then they added zombies. Zombies are the first hostile mobs that were created in the game. Then, they 2 passive mobs. The pig and the sheep. And then there were a new mode, survival mode. One of the 2 main modes Minecraft has. Also, in 2012, chat feature was made, and there were multiplayer and LAN servers.

Biomes in Beta

edit

The only biome in Beta was island. Also, in BETA they added heights and forests and don't forget trees.

2011

edit

In 2011, mobs were made. The skeleton, ghast, pigman, spider, etc. There were 8+ super flat biomes. They also added 80+ blocks and items. They also added a portal to da nether and to da end. New types of trees were made. Spruce (like pinewood), and Tropical (jungle).

aprox. 2012

edit

New mobs were made. The ghast, the blaze, the enderman, cow, and the witch. There were the nether and the end.

Mobile

edit

In 2011, Minecraft PE was Avaliable for Apple and android devices.

2014-present

edit

In 2014, the horse update was revealed. Also, before it was revealed, a horse update beta was made, that was for testing. They also added lead and name tag. Also, command blocks were made. Redstone technology was in 2013, when it was almost in 2014. Since that, command block science[4] was made. It's a website that made commanding easier. There were also new mobs. The guardian, etc.

Horse Update

edit

The horse update, released in 2014, added 2 new things. The lead, is a rope that can be connected into a fence to an animal so they won't run away. A name tag can be changed by an anvil, but only it's name, and can be right-clicked while holding it to change it's name. New mobs were made too. They were horse, mule, and foal. And new items were made. It was iron horse armor, golden horse armor, and diamond horse armor. And a new [ability], you can open a tamed horse's inventory by sneaking and right-clicking the horse.

Game modes

edit

Survival

edit

In survival, you spawn in your selected world. But you can't fly or quick mine or get every block in the inventory for free. Mobs can hurt you and you have health, air, and hunger.

Creative

edit

In creative, you can fly and quick mine and get every blocks and items (except secert blocks, like command blocks) in the inventory. You can get command blocks by saying /give (your username) command_block. Mobs can't hurt you and you don't have air, health, and hunger. But you still can die in creative mode by falling into void

Adventure

edit

You can only activate Adventure mode saying a command: /gamemode (someone) adventure. Adventure mode is like survival, but you can only break blocks that can be mined with the right tool.

Spectator

edit

You can activate Spectator mode with a command: /gamemode (username) spectator. In spectator mode, you look like a ghost. No part of the body is shown except you head, you can go through blocks, can't die no matter what, and can't place or mine blocks and can't hurt, and push players.

Hardcore

edit

Similar to survival, but can die once, and locked at hard. I mean that once you die, you can't respawn. You can only leave the world or delete it. And the difficulty is locked at HARD. It's like minecraft ACTULLAY in the real world.
