- Sigh
- Wikipedia had the potential of being a great source of knowledge, but over time it has become a platform for political propaganda. So sad indeed.

French Embassy in Montenegro
editHeya! You haven't given me a name to address you by yet :=)
Sorry for going nuts over your correction. I was pretty peeved because I thought you were patronizing me.
I can't read German, so I didn't quite catch all of the press release you linked to. I've seen diplomatic lists with the Guinea-Bissau embassy alternatively in Sarajevo, Zagreb or one in both cities. I haven't the foggiest idea why Guinea-Bissau would have an embassy in either, since they're of zero geopolitical import to that country. I suspect that it could be a P.O. Box mission with no actual staff.
Props for calling the French Embassy. I think I will call the Montenegrin Trade Office in Washington and ask them what their status is.
It's hard to find current information, because, as you said, the Montenegrin MFA doesn't update a great deal and when they do, it's either old information or it's only in Montenegrin and I have to go through the cognates, because I don't know that language, either. I've mostly been reading the diplomatic lists of other countries to see who has what where. The only Montenegrin embassy I've been able to track down is in Ljubljana, as it's on the Slovene list, naturally, with no opening date. I also, as indicated in the footnotes, emailed the German Federal Foreign Ministry for a date of the establishment of relations and also the Andorran Embassy in Brussels for the same information.
The British Embassy Office in Podgorica has no consular function, as is indicated on the FCO website. I would expect that it's acting as a liaison office in the absence of diplomatic relations. Speaking of which, don't you find it odd that so many major European countries have not yet established ties? The UK, Portugal, Italy, Norway, Sweden and Greece haven't yet, at least not to my knowledge. I wonder what the delay is.
Please let me know if you find anything new.
Cheers, Bobby
Danish Embassy in Canberra
editThere was a Danish Embassy in Canberra for several decades before the government closed it in 2002 due to budgetary reasons. I guess renewed economic considerations, and the marriage of Prince Frederick to an Australian has changed imperatives
- I spoke to a Danish diplomat last week, who confirmed the reopening Kransky 11:44, 13 December 2006 (UTC).
SADR
editWould it be too provocative/iffy for me to write a page for Saharawi (Western Sahara) Diplomatic Missions?

Diplomatic missions by country - categorising Turkey
editSome guy with an ID address wants Turkey included in Europe. I don't think so (neither do most Europeans I guess). Please contribute your views here Category talk:Diplomatic missions by country. Thanks Kransky (talk) 12:47, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
