sirach65 is a person who's really interested in the history. History was such a dead subject in school (pun not intended) because teachers drilled into us a gazillion dates. Those dots all over my charts didn't mean anything until I was able to connect them after leaving school. Something that happened in the Philippines in the early 19th century was related to the Spanish-American war of 1812. Who would have been able to connect those dots if the schools didn't provide the opportunities to link them?
So Wikipedia, probably the most referenced (officially or unofficially) site provides us with the links. Viva la Wiki!
