The Animal Alliance of Canada is a non-profit organization, based in Toronto and run primarily by volunteers, which works and lobbies for animal and environmental protection. Founded in 1990, it has campaigned against puppy mills, the use of rBGH (a bovine growth hormone), the hunting of bears, the trade in material from bile bears, the transport of "downer" farm animals, the sale of frogs for fishing bait, the killing of Canada Geese, and the Canadian seal hunt.[1]
