I have poems on my website as well, but I want to put this here for others to see, since my website is well hidden. Only poems with meaningful content will go here. I have never pretended to be a good poet or even a good writer, so I don't expect to win awards. Originality is more important to me than skill.
Limericks
[edit]Im a big fan of Ogden Nash's style of limericks, a style also used by others, in which rhyming words are respelled to match a (typically irregular) spelling on the first line. This site provides good examples. Thus I originally wrote the diaper poem with P& at the end of the first line and likewise with the other lines. But I changed it back to normal spelling because I realized it might be confusing to read.
lovesleep&play

Beauty and shaving supplies,
But their diapers win first prize
And that's why their name has an ampersand.
Science

I want to add that this was inspired by a similar poem with paradichloro. it has several variants so i just search for paradichloro limerick when i want to read it again.

Pajamazon

I went for a walk in the Amazon,
with my favorite pair of pajamas on.
i've had this rhyme in my head for 25 years because of an obscure band called Pajamazon that I found around that time. if i ever complete the poem, perhaps it should be about the other Amazon that at the time was still second in my mind:
I went shopping for pants on Amazon,
With my only good pair of pajamas on.

and that's why I've got grandma's on.
i will probably finish with an imperfect rhyme, because although zon is a word, it's difficult to fit into the meter.
