My First Macarons Soap came to my creativity came in June 2020 when the Covid 19 started. At first, I can't get any mold in the market. Even if there is, if would be very expensive to ship over to Singapore and might be delayed during Covid 19.
Hence, I started to make my own mold by using edible Macarons from different shops in Singapore. Finally, I find that I am acceptable at the size of 4-5cm. which is very similar as the Real edible Macarons.
My First published Macarons Soap was more of a trick to someone and the first person I targeted was my Hubby... Poor him! I give him one that is edible and the other that is not. However, he decided to choose the 'Soap' version as it looks more delicious. Wow... i was not too late to stop him from eating mine. But I am proud that i did my mold out from my own hands INSTEAD OF USING MACHINE.
Subsequently, when I launched the products. The mold started to come in. At that peak Christmas season, I have already sold most of it. Most of them used Melt & Pour. However, i am more of a quality person, i used Cold Process with essential/fragrance oils added. This process does not have Palm oil at all. Palm oil/Glycerin is found available on Melt and Pour Soap. Some might even claim that is made of 'Cold Process'!
Nevertheless, I am no objected to Macaron Soap Melt and Pour version as it is faster.
