{{Draft proposal}} Football club notability by country This page aims to give a short overview on currently applied notability criteria for association football clubs by country. Feel free to add countries if these are not yet present on the list below.
- England: Played at Level 10 or higher in the English football pyramid, or in the FA Cup, FA Vase or FA Amateur Cup.[1]
- France: Played at least at CFA 2 level – the current fifth tier in French football,[2] or reached the Round of 64 in the Coupe de France.[3]
- Germany: Any club which has played at least at an Oberliga level during a season (currently fifth-tier; the league has been at a higher level in the past) or in the DFB-Pokal, or any pre-World War II club which either spent at least one season in either a Gauliga division between 1933 and 1945 or participated in the final stages of the German football championship.
- Greece: Any club that has played in Football League 2 or higher, or appeared in the Greek Cup.
- Italy: Any club that plays in Serie D or higher,[4] or has appeared in the Coppa Italia.
- Portugal: Played in the Portuguese Third Division or higher, or appeared in the Taça de Portugal.
- Spain: Played in the Tercera División or higher, or appeared in the Copa del Rey.
