Craig Anthony Scott, more popularly known to the masses by the stage name JDART is a gifted Jamaican dancehall artiste born with a natural knack for music. He has a very diverse background and a lifelong penchant for making music that connects with his audience on another level.

Early Life Hailing from Claremont in St. Ann, JDART started off like many, singing in the church and school choir and at different community events; he was further encouraged to pursue music by his peers and family when they saw how naturally talented he was.

Musical Journey It was on a trip to Japan that the burgeoning artist really flexed his musical muscle, he recalls visiting in 2008 where a couple of friends heard him freestyling and encouraged him to visit the studio.

However, it would be another three years when he visited again that he actually took the advice and did his first recording. What resulted was a new found confidence to do music and the journey truly began.

Traveling to Japan tethered him to the culture and has influenced his style of music greatly. What makes his music ultimately different is his unique mixture of English and Japanese.

In 2019, he released his debut single, “Get High,” a collaboration project with his friend Zen Masuta who pushed him to do his first track. He has since written numerous songs which he plans on recording and releasing soon. He is currently he is an independent artiste who works under his label Cutsleeve Records based in japan.

Though fairly new to the music scene, JDart’s aim is to make an indelible mark in the dancehall industry and with his flavorsome delivery, unparalleled talent, there is no stopping him.
