The 75th Anniversary of the Great Victory — celebrations, parades and other events, dedicated to the Anniversary of the Great Victory in the Great Patriotic War, that lasted from June 22 1941 to May 9 1945.

On July 8 2019 President of Russian Federation V.V. Putin signed a decree, declaring 2020 the year of memory and glory. Therefore, during the year in Russia there are various actions, dedicated to the Victory of the Soviet people over the Nazis: exhibitions, lectures, excavations at battle sites, as well as school Olympiads and «Victory dictation», which is an international victory promotion.

Wide celebration of the Great day was planned in Russia, but the pandemic of Coronavirus has broken all plans. Thus, military parade was held partly: on May 9 and on June 24, and «Immortal Regiment», that was originally thought to be on July 26, took place online. So, on May 9 only the air part of the parade took place over the Red Square. So called «ground» part was carried out to a limited extend on the Cathedral Square. However, on June 24, the parade took place fully: it was attended by 14000 military, 234 units of ground equipment, as well as 75 helicopters and aircrafts. The streaming of «Immortal Regiment» began on May 9 and took 20 days as about 2.7 million applications were received.

Moreover, within the confines of the year of memory and glory on May 9 2020 a memorial park «Rzhev Memorial to the Soviet Soldier» was opened in the Rzhevsky District of the Tver oblast. And on 30 August 2020 a museum complex «Sambek Heights» in the Neklinovsky District of Rostov region opened its doors. Both the park and the complex were built to preserve the memory of the most formidable years of Russian history, that must be passed on the next generations.
